I am an instructor in the Division of Academic Enhancement, and I received a PhD from UGA's
Linguistics Program in 2010. My educational and teaching background is in English literature,
writing, and linguistics. My areas of research specialization include variation in American English, American-British variation, and English lexicography. Currently, I tutor writing and teach English and other classes for the Division of Academic Enhancement at UGA. When I have free time, I enjoy searching for new words (not recognized by recent major dictionaries) as well as unknown uses of older words (often historically early uses) within several of UGA's GALILEO family of databases.
